* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following counties, Fresno, Madera and Mariposa. * WHEN...Until 200 AM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 927 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Oakhurst, Yosemite Lakes, Bootjack, Coarsegold, Bass Lake Ranger District, Ahwahnee, Batterson, Metcalf Gap, Bass Lake, Crane Valley Reservoir and North Fork. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instruction: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
